"TWIN BRIDGES" OPEN HOUSE - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2010

Black River Historical Society is holding an open house - free tours at the Moore House Museum, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. The Bascule (Charles Berry) Bridge & Lofton Henderson Brige were dedicated on Sept. 24, 1940; hence the the Moore House offering this momentous step forward in Lorain history & its "Twin Bridges" Open House. In addition to tours, a remembrance will be given to any twins who attend the open house. Also, a prize will be given for anone who can come closest to guessing facts about the bridges.

GENERAL MEETING - MONDAY,SEPTEMBER 20, 2010

The September General Meeting will be held at the American Croation Club, 4846 Oberlin Ave., Lorain at 7pm. The program will be presented by Tim Kiedrowski, owner of the Kiedrowski Bakery. He will discuss the operation of a Polish bakery. The public is welcome and refreshments will be served.

LORAIN GROWTH AFTER HOURS - FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2010

The Moore House Museum will host the After Hours for the Lorain Growth for its members from 5 to 7pm. Tours of the museum will be available.

GENERAL MEETING - MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2020

The program for October's meeting is Jennifer Wertz presenting the DVD entitled "Sweet Water Lady", the story of the Marblehead Lighthouse created by Tom Koba. It will be held at the American Croatian Club,4846 Oberlin Ave., Lorain at 7p.m. Public welcome.

November's meeting will be held at the American Croatian Club, 4846 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, at 7pm. The program is "The Edmund Fitzgerald" presented by Jeffery Huber. Open to the public.

The members Christmas Gathering will be held at the Moore House Museum, 309 West Fifth Street, Lorain, at 6 pm. Please bring an appetizer or Christmas cookies to share. Kthe museum will be decorated for the holidays.
